We recently had an e-mail from Doug Holtz from Minneapolis, MN. Doug tells us '....I have sent an additional photo (with a circle around the hoop), but it isn't too far from the trailer used in the film where be two men lived. If you look down the hill, next to the large building on the corner, there is a large basketball (playground) next door. There, on the end closet to the street, is the basketball hoop used in the shot. If you look close, you can se the large cylindrical tanks in the background with the other background factory items. I figure they wanted to keep the locations fairly close, even if they used multiple locations.' Thanks Doug.'

We recently had an e-mail from Jamie Pullar from Marysville, Wa. Jamie tells us '....This is the access road to Diablo Dam, connecting Diablo Dam to the North Cascades Highway (State Highway 20). In the 1990's Robert De Niro would return to this area (the town of Concrete, approximately 40 miles West of this location) to film the movie This Boys Life.' Thanks Jamie for the information, will have a look out for 'This Boys Life.'

We recently had an e-mail from Jamie Pullar from Marysville, Wa. Jamie tells us '....this is a view (looking West) of the bridge over Thunder Arm at Diablo Lake In the North Cascades Wilderness on the North Cascades Highway (state highway 20). On either side of this bridge is terrific trout fishing. Robert De Niro would return to this area to film the movie 'This Boys Life', a true story about a local boy and the town of Concrete, WA.'

Thanks to Dirk, who sent me an e-mail to say 'the above scenes were filmed about an eighth of a mile from Colonial Creek campground ...incredibly jade waters, immaculate views, good hiking, must see.'

We recently had an e-mail from Paul W. Rider from Concrete, WA. Paul tells us '....That location is just east of the Colonial Creek Campground along State Route 20 in north central Washington state; I live about 45 miles or so from there and have stopped there on a few occasions to snap photos...and didn't expect to see it in the movie! The high peak in the hunting scenes is either Mount Baker or Glacier Peak in the northern portion of the Cascade Range near North Cascades National Park.' Thanks Paul.
