"Schindler's List" is the based-on-true story of Nazi Czech business man Oskar Schindler, who uses Jewish labor to start a factory in occupied Poland. As World War II progresses, and the fate of the Jews becomes more and more clear, Schindler's motivations switch from profit to human sympathy and he is able to save over 1100 Jews from death in the gas chambers. Below are the 1993 THEN shots of the filming locations used in Steven Spielberg - Schindlers List. This will be a direct visual comparison of how the filming locations have changed over time. Some places and buildings are now totally unrecognisable due to massive development and area progress while some have undergone the opposite direction towards deterioration and decay. Some places, however, have stayed intact as they were, unaffected by the passage of weather and time.
