Some places and buildings are now totally unrecognisable due to massive development and area progress while some have undergone the opposite direction towards deterioration and decay. You'll see that some of the houses looking down the street have since been knocked down-thats why I've never been 100% convinced about the location. Anyway,the old boy from Lundwood finally solved a mystery today (he was 28 when the film was shot,and watched them film the scenes in Lundwood). Mottram Street). I notice that some other parts of the film were shot around there so there's a good chance it's one of those. Sorry for not being more specific! Nice site btw!' I had to ask a number of older persons in the street, if they could remember where in the street the newsagents was, lucky enough I spoke to the lady who owned the newsagents at the time of the filming. She mentioned everything was cleared out of the shop during filming.</p> <p>In the movie you never actually see a shot of the outside of the newsagents just a view of the houses opposite.
