There's Always Vanilla aka The Affair - Synopsis

Chris Bradley (Raymond Laine) returns to the city of Pittsburgh after three years of drifting and working odd jobs around the country since his discharge from the U.S. Army. Rejecting moving back in with his mother (Dorrit Chase) and father (Roger McGovern) and not wanting to return to the family business of manufacturing baby food, Chris meets and lives with Lynn, (Judith Ridley) who works as a model in local TV commercials. Lynn finds out that she's pregnant and does not feel that Chris would make a responsible father or husband, watch it and find out what happens!

Before we Begin

Below are the THEN and NOW shots of the filming locations used in George Romero, There's always Vanilla aka The Affair. The now shots are taken accordingly during our recent visit to the place (2007) while the then shots (1972) are the film grabs from the movie. This is a direct visual comparison of how the filming locations have changed over time. Some places and buildings are now totally unrecognizable due to massive development and area progress while some have undergone the opposite direction towards deterioration and decay. Some places, however, have stayed intact as they were, unaffected by the passage of weather and time.

The order below is the same order from the beginning to the end of the movie. If you can provide further information or help me locate the missing links, it will be greatly appreciated. These are all my personal observations and any form of constructive criticism or informative suggestion would be most welcome. If you know where the filming took place for this film, please use the contact form to get in touch. Click here to go to the contact form Thanks Roly – Filming Locations Detectives

We recently had an e-mail from Doug Brendel, who has been researching Skybus for over 2 years and was surprised to see that Skybus was in a movie. "I took (the below right photograph) at the North Station platform (SKYBUS) back in May 2009. It's a exact match to your (the above location)" Thanks Doug for helping us update the website. The below left photograph is how the Skybus looks now (2009). View photographs, and to read more about the Skybus - click here.
